Best Execution is a privately owned company that was formed by three software engineers, having worked together since the mid 80s, with the aim to provide quality IT services to the financial industry. Based in the South East Best Execution provides bespoke software development and system operations services.
The experience of the software group spans many years within the software business and incorporates a huge wealth of languages, environments and evolution of industry and de facto standards. The core industry awareness remains Financial Systems, with a broad knowledge and experience of many Stock Exchanges across Europe and the United States. Our development team have been working with data from the London Stock Exchange since 'Big Bang' nearly 20 years ago.
Our software engineers were single-handedly responsible for the creation of Proquote, which was so hugely successful and innovative that the London Stock Exchange bought the Proquote company in 2003 to secure the product as its own. Our operations department still operate and manage the service.
In 2001 our developers created the Proquote retail hub in the London Market. The hub provides trading facilities to over a dozen retail service providers (RSPs). A massive £4 billion is transacted every year via this trading hub.
Systems Operations business is rapidly expanding with the addition of new systems being managed and operated. Services actively expanding include System Design and Implementation; Quality Assurance and Integration of Third Party software; Full Operation and Support of Third Party applications and environments.
Our operations personnel are fully acquainted with the challenges of managing market data feeds from all over Europe, across dozens of private circuits, and meeting the demanding requirements of large multinational corporations.
